The news that Michael Jackson has left us at the age of 50 is truly one of the historic moments in world music that will see life as we know it change for the worse. We are poorer, life will be that much less fun.
All of the staff at the London Daily News had been waiting to see MJ at the o2 and see a revival of his career, to prove that he was, and remains the "King of Pop". Unfortunately he never made it leaving millions of fans without the possibility to see him again or hear his songs live.
The o2 and AEG the promoters now have a nightmare and will have to refund or prepare some type of compensation for all the thousands of fans who purchased tickets. Only on Wednesday AEG emailed all fans that:
"We are thrilled to tell you that your chance to join the Michael Jackson production release ticket sale has been successful! The tickets will be available beginning promptly at 8 am [GMT] 24 June 2009. At this time, you may be able to buy up to 4 tickets to see Michael Jackson at The O2 arena, London."
"This is NOT a guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets. Hurry, demand for tickets is unprecedented and they will go quickly!!"
Well now Michael has gone and all those who camped outside of the o2 to get tickets must be upset that they will never see him again.
The scenes that followed the death of Princess Diana are likely to follow all over the world, with hysterical fans already seen in London crying uncontrollably.
He liked young boys, changed from black to white, lived in "Neverland" wore a mask all the time, regarded himself as the messiah, and you want me to feel sorry for him? Beat IT!
