News Desk Londoner campaigns for justice outside of the Cyprus High Commission in St James Square in a property fraud and physical assault. London born Conor O'Dwyer an expat who intended to move his entire family to the island of Cyprus has been subjected to physical assaults, defrauded of an estimated £100,000 by a Cypriot developer. Three years on O'Dwyer is now homeless, and now has decamped outside of the St James Square location of the Cyprus High Commission demanding justice from the Cyprus government. O'Dwyer is now in week three of his protest outside of the Cyprus High Commission living from a tent, and using a cyber campaign to try and put pressure on the Republic of Cyprus to have his home and money returned. Speaking to the London Daily News Conor O'Dwyer said: "I am in week three of my campaign, away from my family in a dark and dingy tent in St James Square. Until my family has their home and money returned to them I will not leave here. The Cyprus government which is now part of the EU has shown to me that it does not respect its own laws or the laws of the EU. I will not stop until I get justice". The London Daily News has attempted to contact the Cyprus High Commission but no one was prepared to give an official statement. The "O'Dwyer scandal" as it is now known in Cyprus is of the highest level embarrassment to the Republic of Cyprus. A British citizen intended to live and work in Cyprus, buys a house, gets defrauded by the property developer, lawyers in the case and then is subjected to a serious assault by the developer in question. The Cyprus criminal courts do not prosecute the developer, despite assurances and three years on is without a home.
