Violence breaks out in Fulham and Chelsea

Chelsea fans went on the rampage with over 200 throwing chairs and glasses at Police in the Fulham area.

Callers to BBC London and LBC have reported Chelsea fans charging riot police in the streets near Stamford Bridge. Riot police used CS gas to quell the violence, local residents in Chelsea have said that whole chunks of the area were made "no go" due to the scale of violence.

Scotland Yard said riot officers were drafted in as up to 200 fans threw missiles at police.

A spokesman said: "Approximately 12 arrests were made. It was a flash incident and the group has been dispersed. Fewer than 100 officers were involved."
