Figures just released from satelite navigation company TomTom have shown that traffic peaked this morning at 07:42 this morning with, 2903 miles of traffic and a total delay of 205 hours across the UK. The worst traffic incident in length was 50 miles on M20 at 8:05am.
As yet more snow hit the UK last night, the UK’s traffic situation grew steadily worse across the country. TomTom’s HD Traffic, a live traffic service updated every two minutes, showed 2903 miles of traffic across the UK with total delays of 205 hours during this morning’s rush hour.
The M20 had a traffic jam of 50 miles long between J13 (Folkestone) and J1 (M25 interchange) beating yesterday’s 43 miles on the M40. The same stretch of road also experienced the worst delays amounting to at least 64 minutes extra on people’s journey.
Figures released for 1 December showed that traffic peaked at 17.40 yesterday with, 1975 separate incidents totalling 1933 miles of traffic and 170 hours of delays across the UK, Worst traffic incident in length was 43.7 miles at 12.11am on M1, M25 records the longest delays with a total of 23 hours of delay across the entire motorway.
