A Harrow and Weald Conservative councilor has been arrested after allegedly being caught giving oral sex to a man in a loo.

Robert Benson, 41, has been charged with engaging in sexual activity in a public toilet. Police cautioned the 56-year-old man he was found with.

Recently married

The local Tory group has suspended Benson from the party - but he can still sit on the council as an independent. If acquitted he could rejoin the party.

Benson, who had only recently married, will appear in front of Wimbledon magistrates next Wednesday.
