A toddler who reportedly wandered out of his house onto the road and was struck by a van, died yesterday.

Kevin Brito was 18 months old.

Divers lifted the van

The child was dragged under the van in Forest Hill. Passers by and firefighters battled to save the boy, lifting the van to free him.

He was rushed to hospital but died at King's Collage yesterday morning.

The driver in his 30s was arrested and bailed on suspicion of dangerous driving, appearing in court in August.

DNA to identify Spain air tragedy victims
DNA tests will be needed to identify many of the 153 people killed in a Spanish plane crash, officials say. Authorities say many victims were so badly burned that fingerprint and other identification will be impossible. The crash of flight JK5022 at Madrid's Barajas Airport on Wednesday is Spain's worst air disaster in decades.
