The operator hit the stop button as soon as she saw him - at the moment we don't know how he got to the tracks at the back of the rollercoaster. It's a children's roller coaster called the Go-Gator' and he obviously slipped away from his father and ran towards it. The whole thing is an awful, shocking tragedy and we send our sympathies the family. This is the first fatality on a British fairground in 20 years and the serious incidents are extremely rare."
