Editorial The British National Party represents every aspect about this country that is a major turn off, namely the "siege mentality", the paranoia, and the duplicitousness of much of what "Englishness" is about. Nevertheless this was not an excuse for the BBC to subsidise an all mighty kicking of the BNP on television. If the BBC actually understood who now supports the BNP then the decision to give Griffin a massive platform and to allow the BNP to be portrayed a victim of the "Islamisation" of the UK and the failure of the "multi-cultural experiment” was a huge mistake. The BNP is now acceptable in middle-England, in the households that feel the Conservative party is not right wing enough, and will not stand up for the "British people" if in power. The Labour government is discredited beyond redemption, so the BNP rolls on and will from the Question Time debate garner more support. The problem with this country is that "open debate" does not exist anymore, tune into any radio station across the capital and you will listen to the same callers, the same tired presenters trying to keep within "guidelines" set out by the government. All you now get is discussion on how to boil an egg. The BNP is going to win more seats and will continue to accelerate its membership drive because the main political parties have lost touch with the country's mood. Let’s accept the facts there is a threat posed to the security of this country by Muslim fanatics, there is no point in any of the leading Muslim politicians trying to hide this. There is also a preponderance by Muslims to dominate the society's they live and inhabit. To illustrate the point why do the Muslims have in the UK a parliament and follow Sharia law, with demands to have state holiday's for their religious festivals? The only reason why the British government has to date allowed so much to take place, has nothing to do with tolerance, but has everything to do with the philosophy and the lazy "can't be bothered" attitude which has seen the streets of this country with Muslim women wearing hijab's and burkahs. The BBC made a massive mistake in allowing the BNP on air, it has now given the BNP much more credibility than it already had and now it will become even more "acceptable" to join the reformed fascist skin head group that once was the National Front.
