By Gemma Brosnan ELECTRIC string quartet, Escala were celebrating chart success with another big contract today after being named as the legs of British hosiery brand, Pretty Polly. Escala’s fresh, innovative approach and natural, home-grown appeal made them the ideal candidates for the re-launch of the innovative Pretty Polly Naturals range, representing a collection of ‘better than bare’ products to provide the natural, sheer tights with some sexy, talented pins. Chantal from Escala said: "We are thrilled to be selected to represent such an established British brand as Pretty Polly. The Naturals collection complements each of our skin tones perfectly and provides us with that coveted ‘air-brushed’ look without the air-brushing!" The glamorous four-piece caused a sensation in the final of ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2008 and immediately secured a £1.5m deal with music mogul Simon Cowell who saw their potential and took them under his wing. He was proved right this week as they triumphantly return to the show with a performance of the Led Zeppelin classic ‘Kashmir’, watched by no less than 15 million viewers. The launch of the fabulous new Pretty Polly imagery coincides with the release of Escala’s self-titled debut album out this week, featuring the girls’ interpretations of a host of well known pop classics. With a little help from luminaries Trevor Horn and rock legend guitarist Slash, the album offers the ladies versions of ‘Kashmir’ by Led Zeppelin, Robert Miles’ ‘Children and Live And Let Die’ by Wings and is already on route to the chart summit with their eclectic, sexy and genre defying collection.
