The results of the European elections pretty much reflected the 2004 results no real change, the Conservatives received 479,037 votes and 3 seats
Labour  372,590 and 2 seats, Liberal Democrats     240,156 1, Green Party, 190,589, 1 and UKIP 1 seat.

The hype surrounding the BNP and its impact on politics in London was just that, hype. 86,420 or 4.9% per cent of the vote went to the extremists.  The BNP are here to stay and the more the establishment tries to censor them the more notoriety they get.  Allow the BNP a platform like other parties and let people exercise their intelligence to assess how relevant this type of politics.

Moreover the Conservatives have the momentum now to win a general election whenever Brown decides, and has the courage to dissolve parliament.  Labour are a spent force bereft of the belief and vision to help rectify some of the serious problems affecting this nation.
