Have I missed something? What are 200,000 immigrants coming to the UK for every year, when we have 2,45 million unemployed, an economy verging on a recession, and talk everyday is of more unrest and social problems. Are we just plane stupid in this country or just too polite to say, we don't need any more immigration, we need to deal with the problems we have now and no more influxes.
Just reading Migration Watch's report that 80% of Somalian immigrants are housed in social and council properties just beggars’ belief as to why they are even let into this country. Do we need any more mini-cab drivers? The last time I heard London private hire and black cabbies are screaming at the downturn in trade.
We must adopt a policy now that begins to encourage the highly skilled and educated to the UK and deters the Nigerians, Somalians and the rest who have seen the UK as a soft touch, with easy access to health care, social benefits, without ever paying a penny to the Exchequer.
Its time now we now we started saying things as they are, the liberal middle class who have allowed so many things to be "tolerated" for the sake of this "rainbow nation" rubbish must be shouted down. If we need engineers, as is the case, with Sir James Dyson warning he will move his company out of the UK because the UK is not producing enough high skilled engineers, then we invite engineers to live here. We do not need any more kebab shops, grocers, or cleaners; we need people to add to the UK, not to depend on he UK.
We need to see a fundamental change in the attitude towards immigration, there is nothing racist about telling someone we do not have any jobs here and you will not be housed here for free. The immigrants who arrived in the UK during the fities and sixties from places like Cyprus, Malta, Italy, Africa and the Asian sub-continent, have added to this nation's wealth. We need wealth creators not more spongers who know their rights, but do not care about their responsibilities.
