There's no better way to honour a dead person than to pretend that you can speak to them from beyond the grave on live TV.

Sky One are set to air two live on-air séances in an attempt to contact dead superstar Michael Jackson.

Next month viewers will have the opportunity to tune into, 'Michael Jackson: The Live Séance' and 'Michael Jackson: The Search For His Spirit'.

Derek Acorah to front shows

Celebrity medium Derek Acorah will take centre stage - in his "Most Haunted" series he was repeatedly 'possessed by the very spirits he apparently spoke to.

If Acorah pretends to be possessed by Michael Jackson, starts talking in a squeaky voice and then moonwalks across the stage, it could be the televisual event of the decade.

Acorah's credibility has been questioned after a member of staff of Most Haunted invented a character and misfed the information to Acorah who subsequently presented it as fact - i.e. he became possessed by him.

June Sarpong said of the upcoming shows:

"I think viewers will find this programme intriguing and will want to tune in to see what happens. It's the first time I've done anything like this but I'm open minded and can't wait to see what Derek uncovers".
