Nearly 200 people were present at the private barbecue in Blenheim gardens around 4am when a man and a woman were blasted as the party wound up.

Serious condition

Both are in a serious but stable condition in a west London hospital. The man, in his twenties, arrived at the hospital whereas cops were called out to the house when they found the 30 something woman suffering from a single gun shot wound.

Operation Trident are the special Metropolitan Police unit that deals with black on black gun crime.

Detective Inspector Michael Millar, of Operation Trident, said:

DNA to identify Spain air tragedy victims
DNA tests will be needed to identify many of the 153 people killed in a Spanish plane crash, officials say. Authorities say many victims were so badly burned that fingerprint and other identification will be impossible. The crash of flight JK5022 at Madrid's Barajas Airport on Wednesday is Spain's worst air disaster in decades.
