BTP is appealing for witnesses to an incident of sexual assault on board a Jubilee line train.

The offender touched the woman between the legs three times before getting off the train at Canary Wharf.

The offence occurred at approximately 9am on 19/5/09.

Investigating officer, Detective Thanh Ly said:

“This was a very unpleasant experience for the victim who was subjected to unwanted physical contact.

“Nobody should have to put up with this kind of behaviour.

“We’ve conducted observations at the station and followed other lines of enquiry and we’re now appealing for help from members of the public.”

BTP is looking to identify the man in the CCTV in connection with the investigation. Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 quoting background log B2 of 19/5/09.
