Security alert shuts down Madame Tussauds

A full evacuation of Madame Tussauds took place at 11:08am this morning, following a security alert, with large areas of Marylebone Road also shut by the Metropolitan Police.

The Metropolitan Police dealt with a suspicious vehicle in Baker Street, NW1 Road forcing the closure of parts of Baker Street/Glenforth Street, Allsop Place/Park Road, Marylebone Road/Glouster Place.

The London Daily News has learnt from Madame Tussauds that the venue was evacuated as a precaution.

The police declared the vehicle as safe and all roads are re-opening at 12:04pm.
