Thelondondailynews.com has learned that the school girl stabbed to death in a lift at a block of flats was murdered by a stalker who later attempted to commit suicide.

There are reports that the teenager met her attacker at a church group where he became obsessed with her when she rejected his advances. Allegations of assault and harrasment were also made to police.

Stabbed 10 times

Found bleeding to death by a mother with her eight-year-old daughter, the girl was stabbed more than 10 times.

The blows were delivered with such force that the handle broke off, leaving the blade embedded in her torso.

Earlier we reported on how residents were given security fobs for their main doors only days ago, it's emerged that the gates have been broken for two years and that's how the attacker got in the block of flats in Waterloo.

Suspects suicide attempt?

The 21-year-old man being held in connection with the murder was found clinging to Hungerford bridge near the crime scene. Witnesses said the man, of African appearance, had appeared to have harmed himself. Police wearing stab vests moved in to apprehend the man limbering over the Thames

First teen girl murdered in a year

While the girl was the 16th teenager to die violently in London this year, she is the first female teen murdered since Sian Simpson in Croydon a year ago.

Police and paramedics were on the scene in four minutes yet were unable to resuscitate the girl - believed to be Eritrean.
