A Saudi Arabian "Prince" has been charged with murdering his 'servant' in a top west end hotel.

Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz, 32, was found strangled to death in as room at the five-star Landmark Hotel in Marylebone. He also received serious head injuries in the attack.

As the accused is a minor royal he will not receive diplomatic immunity - the House of Saud has more than 6,000 members, but the most power and influence is wielded by 200 princes who are closest to King Abdullah.

Under the 1961 Vienna Convention, senior royals and diplomats, their families and staff, can escape prosecutions in foreign lands.

Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Nasir Bin Abdulaziz al Saud, 33, will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

He is charged with murder and one count of grievous bodily harm.
