Commuters using the Thameslink trains run by First Capital Connnect will experience major delays today caused by overhead wire problems causing disruption in the West Hampstead Thameslink area.

The amount of damage caused means that only three out of the usual four lines are available to First Capital Connect electric services, causing congestion for both operators in the area.

The following service alterations will apply throughout Wednesday 2 February:

    * Many First Capital Connect services are subject to cancellation
    * East Midlands Trains services between Corby and London St Pancras International will only run between Corby and Kettering.
