In the event of a terrorist act in London would the government be justified to deploy the army on the streets of the capital?
Yes : 60.20% (2577)
No : 39.80% (1704)
Its frightening to think we have people, in this capital, who think n the event of a terrorist attack the government would be wrong to deploy troops.
Lets hope these people cant vote for God sake.
Are we just to hold up our hands and surrender, NO.
In the words of the greatest Englishman that ever lived,
We will never, never, never surrender ( Winston Churchill 1941)
Deploy troops against whom? Surrender to whom? Winston Churchill had a defined enemy, we live at a time where the \'enemy\' is clearly undefined and seemingly everywhere. The victims however are the people of this beautiful city, how much more will our freedoms be curtailed for our \'safety\'? If we deploy troops on the streets of London then we WILL have surrendered, the \'enemy\' and it\'s weapon terror would have won. Londoners have no fear, demand the truth.
I totally agreed with the last comment. We already have an army of \'Community Support Officers\' that are raging their form of terror on the innocent public. I would hate to see what the army, (with their bigger ego’s), would unleash on us! Fear equals control. Fear nobody, yet equally do not make anybody fear you. This so-called war on terror will eventually, after a slow erosion of our civil liberties, be waged on us. We are born free, yet there are a few at the top of the pyramid that would like to, not just have us enslaved as we currently are today, but with full submission. Go, unleash the army!
