Playboy owner Hugh Hefner hopes to reopen his Playboy casino in London in a bid to reinvigorate the "Playboy brand".

The porn king said that he would be delighted to open a new playboy Club in London in Mayfair, Central London, and a short distance away from the old premises next to the Dorchester Hotel back in the 1960’s. Hefner believes that the Playboy club was the last word in glamour back in the 60’s in London.

He went on by saying: “When we first opened the Playboy Club in London it was one of my favourite times the brand. I look forward to our return and again sharing the notions that are celebrated in the magazine, the concept of good food and drink, pretty girls, and exciting entertainment”.

Almost 30 years since the club was shut down, Hefner promised to revive his casino and bring back the prestige to his company after allegations back in 1966 against his company of lascivious activities and cashing dodgy cheques.

According to reports Hefner mentioned in a recent statement that Playboy is “more popular than ever” however his company has experienced a loss of $40 million last year and $158million in 2008, so he is hoping that the new casino will have the same success it had back in the 60’s and 70’s. It is said that the concept of the bunny girls will return and their characteristic rabbit-ear headdresses will shine once again.

This concept is expected to attract "A-list" celebrities in London comparing to the names that graced The Playboy Club in the sixties like Sean Connery, Michael Caine, George Best, Mohammed Ali and Jack Nicholson

The opening date of the club is yet to be announced.
