Travel Desk - 8:30am

Commuters using the Piccadilly Line from Arnos Grove have been turned away and told to use alternative transport, following a track fault at Kings Cross, leading to the closure of stations on the line.  Stations affected include Arnos Grove, Bounds Green, Wood Green, Manor House, Finsbury Park, Holloway Road, Arsenal, Caledonian and Kings Cross.

TfL are reporting minor delays on the Piccadilly Line, but the London Daily News has been receiving reports of major problems in north London due to the closure of all stations from Arnos Grove through to Kings Cross using the Piccadilly Line.

News on the progress of works will be updated as and when we receive them.

At 9:30am all lines reopened a TfL spokesman said:

" The Piccadilly line was suspended in both directions from King’s Cross to Arnos Grove from 0615hrs today so that engineers could replace defective track. The service resumed at 0845hrs. This was emergency repair work which could not be deferred, but we apologise for the inconvenience this caused to passengers."
