The perfect day for the perfect couple

Prince William and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge in front of over a billion viewers and hundreds of thousands of spectators and thousands at Westminster Abbey managed to unify a nation and the world in what was a perfect day.

Londoners took to the streets with parties to celebrate the wedding, in what has been described as a historic day for the United Kingdom.

Despite all the regal nature of the event the couple still managed to share looks and smiles and signalling a new monarchy on the horizon, one that is natural, with the people and in touch with the problems affecting the nation.

Central London was awash with tourists and well wishers, with retailers expected to hit over £500 million during the Royal Wedding.

The bank holiday also meant Londoners could either watch the wedding on television or attend the many thousand parties organised across the capital.
