Infuriated Ryanair passengers refused to leave the aircraft for four hours after the flight had been diverted from France to Belgium
.

Police authorities attempted to negotiate with the frustrated passengers after the mutineers staged a protest on the runway of Liege airport, refusing to disembark and demanding to be taken to their destination.

According to passengers the flight had delayed three hours to depart from Fes, Morocco, and arrived in Liege, Belgium at 11:30pm local time. Passengers added that they hadn’t been informed by anyone on the aircraft that the destination had been altered to Belgium.

Once the plane landed in Belgium, passengers revealed that once the plane had been safely parked at the airport, cabin crew turned off the lights and locked the lavatories and abandoned the plane leaving the passengers on board with no food or water.

The frustrated travellers- French travellers who had expected to land near Paris on Monday evening after returning from their vacations in Morocco refused to disembark the aircraft even after the cabin crew abandoned the aircraft.
After negotiating for four hours with local authorities finally the Ryanair travellers were convinced to get off the aircraft.

The unapologetic Irish airline explained that they were amongst another four flights that had been forced to land in Liege, due to fog that forced the closure of the airport in Beauvais, France.

Ryanair spokesperson, Stephen McNamara commented on the incident by saying: “This is clearly a case of unreasonable behaviour by a minority of passengers”.

It is worth mentioning that Liege airport that welcomed all diverted flights does not usually host Ryanair aircraft the only destination in Belgium that hosts Ryanair aircraft is in Charleroi, in south of Brussels.
