Olympics News Desk The Olympic Games in London could be the target of a biological attack, which has led the Government according to letters seen by the Daily Telegraph, to stockpile vaccines against killer diseases.
Medical staff have already been given vaccines against smallpox to deal with any biological attack from terrorists.
The source of the information according to the Daily Telegraph was a letter from a Home Office minister who outlined the preparations in the event of a chemical attack and a "wide range" of potential attacks on the Olympic Games.
In the letter from Lord Henley the Government confirmed that "the UK Health Department have established an appropriate stockpile of vaccines, medical counter-measures and equipment to be used to protect the public and emergency responders".
