The hype surrounding the "final countdown" to get tickets to entice more of us to buy early serves only to underline how well organised the media operation of the 2012 Games has been, but Londoners should also wake up.
Do you honestly think basketball, handball, weightlifting tickets have sold out? No way. There are also the tickets to enter the Olympic Park that will also be available nearer the Games that will allow families to enjoy the various sports on live screens and visit the grounds of the Olympics.
Many of us in London have paid higher council tax bills to pay for the two weeks of "Olympic fun" so it should be one of the primary aims of the LOCOG to allow as many Londoners to see the Games as possible.
If you do not manage to get online today to reserve your tickets, it will not be your last chance; there will be many sports with low ticket sales that will allow many of us to still take attend the Games.
On ticket prices, the cost of some of these tickets are simply unfair. Why are LOCOG charging up to £750 per ticket on some events? It should have been the case that Londoners get priority, and also subsidised ticket prices.
Moreover don't panic, tickets will exist for the Games, anyone for Greco-Roman wrestling?
