Fashionista Nicole Richie has caused quite a stir for being too thin since losing weight after appearing on the hit reality show, The Simple Life with hotel heiress and playmate Paris Hilton. Endless coverage of her shrinking frame has however seen the Simple Life girl transform from farm girl to fashionista. The adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie is certainly no shrinking violet when it comes to fashion however. Her on-trend looks and hair colour changes have made their way onto the cover of many fashion glossies and the L.A socialite has become a leading style icon. After a stint in rehab brought on by a string of arrests and drug addictions the wild child has since returned to a more ‘simple life’, becoming a domesticated goddess. Her two children daughter Harlow and son Sparrow have had little or no effect it seems on the starlets figure, who continues to radiate and look super stylish on all occasions. Indeed if it were not public news, one would never have guessed that this tiny beauty has had two children.

Appearing on the red carpet with beau and rocker fiancé Joel Madden, despite recent allegations of cheating, the pair look happy and stunning. Complimenting fiancé Joels’s suave classic black tuxedo, Nicole Richie opts for a glittering seventies style maxi dress. Maxi dresses made a huge come back for sping/summer and the trend continues for autumn/winter. Short sleeved or no sleeved strappy and halterneck spring/summer versions have been replaced with long sleeved billowing seventies styles for autumn/winter. Nicole Richie glitters on the red carpet in this shimmering backless show-stopping maxi dress complete with flared sleeves for ultimate seventies retro glamour.  Whilst it’s great to be able to splash the cash on a designer frock like Nicole Richie’s but when the highstreet has some fabulous alternatives on offer you can’t afford not to. Indeed it’s all about chiconomics and this Miss Selfridge coral beaded maxi dress for autumn/winter is stunning. The tear drop hole at the front of the dress allows for just enough visual cleavage without revealing too much flesh. The beaded detailing adds luxury whilst the glitter threading will have you dazzling the night away, just like Nicole Richie on the red carpet. Coral also continues to dominate the colour trends and is an easy tone to wear as it compliments all skin  tones. The panel ruffle layers at the bottom add texture and layers to the traditional maxi dress. Keep accessories to a mimimum like Nicole and for ultimate night time elegance tie hair into a neat high bun, like queen of the top knots, Ms Richie. Keep lip colour to nudes but go for heavy eyes in dark shades such as charcoal like Nicole. Step out in this fabulous coral maxi and instantly steal celebrity style glamour at a steel of a price!
