London hotels beating Paris - 90% capacity, profits up 16%

London’s hotels are deifying the tough economic climate and hitting 90% occupancy rates with rising profits.

Room rates rose more than 12% last month to an average £157, bringing in £141 for hoteliers and making them 16% better off than the same time last year.

A bus driver accused of refusing two veiled women passage has been cleared by his bosses.
