An Enfield police officer has been accused of causing actual bodily harm whilst making an arrest.

The prosecution comes after the Independent Police Complaints Commision managed an internal Met investigation into Pc Michael Ray's arrest of a suspect.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a scooter acident last night.

The 31-year-old from Whetstone, Barnet fell from his Vespa 125cc scooter on Finchley Road at the junction with Arkwright Road around 7pm, Scotland Yard said.
