POLICE are releasing CCTV images of three men and a woman they would like to speak to in connection with assaults on two mini-cab drivers in Wood Green.

Detectives from Haringey Community Safety Unit are investigating the assaults, which took place at about 02:00hrs on Saturday 30 January outside a mini-cab office in Berners Road N22.

It is thought that a drunken group of suspects had been refused a cab at the office.

Outside the office they approached a 44-year-old male cab driver, who was sitting in his vehicle.

One of the suspects punched him in the face after he refused to take them in his cab.

The wing mirror of the vehicle was also damaged during the assault. A 50 year-old male cab driver, [Victim B], left the cab office to stop the suspects from causing any further damage.

The group turned on him, forced him to the floor and kicked and punched him. The suspects are believed to have made off down Redvers Road N22. Victim 'B' drove home, from where his family took him to the NorthMiddlesexHospital.

He was treated for bruising and swelling to his face and discharged from hospital later that day. No arrests have been made at this time.

DC Stephen Bent said: 'There was an earlier disturbance outside the Jolly Anglers pub in Station Road, N22 which we believe may have involved the same group of people. I am keen to hear from anyone that witnessed either incident or recognises the individuals in the CCTV stills.'

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Stephen Bent of Haringey's Community Safety Unit on 020 8345 1939.
