Sleeker and smarter, military has emerged again as hot trend for menswear. This look is hugely popular with designers this season and for men, the urban warrior is amongst us  in items such as berets, lace-up boots and jackets create a tough and masculine look for utility.  Military-style coats were dominant on the catwalk; Burberry Prorsum embraced the soldier boy style with outerwear adorned in brass-buttons, epaulettes, khaki and durable boots to match. The essential feature of these coats is the hardware attached to them as well as the great cut, soft fabric and long lasting quality. The silhouette is tailored to the body and structured emphasising broad shoulders in wool, tweed and cotton.  

Colour ways are camel but be sure to add some vibrancy to the outfit, throw some bold reds, greens and blues into the mix.   The long military coat featured here is a nice smart overcoat for the really cold winter months.  This double-breasted pick in gunmetal grey is from high street giant Burton, it resembles a coat worn by army troops in the shape.  The great thing about this style is the versatility, it can be dressed up or down to fit the occasion.
