Londoners support calls to ban minarets in capital

Londoners support the Swiss government’s decision to ban minarets and mosques according to a new poll in The London Daily News, further highlighting the "sensitivities" and concerns in the capital at the growing influence of Islam.

Callers to London's leading early morning radio show, the Nick Ferrari programme on LBC, also expressed their concerns with one caller citing how "out of character" a minaret would be if built in London.

London is the home to one of the largest number of mosques in the western world,apart from Turkey, with estimates putting the number at over one hundred. The "minaret" issue has become ever more controversial with the growth of Islamic extremism in the capital, and calls by a minority for Sharia law to be observed by all.

Harrow Council recently approved the building of the largest mosque in the capital, which will see Harrow Central Mosque serving Muslim worshippers from across north London when it is built on Station Road. Construction News in a report said:

"The designs include a 40m-high minaret, a gym, a crèche and a café within the 5,745 square metre developments. It is expected to open next year after Harrow Council approved changes to the original plans, which were passed in June 2000."

Increasingly London Muslims are demanding mosques to be built with traditional minarets, which reflect the liberal regime in place in the capital city. There are an estimated 1 million Muslims in London.

It seems strange that Muslims would insist on building minarets for mosques in Switzerland while thousands of mosques exist inside the Muslim world without minarets. The minarets are seen by many as representing the superiority of Islam, especially when they are taller than the churches; this sheds some light on the hidden intentions of Muslims who insist on building minarets in the heart of Europe. It is important that Muslims in Switzerland explain why they insist on using such historical symbols of Muslim superiority when it is neither mentioned in the Koran nor considered vital to building a mosque. It seems too hypocritical that Muslims demand minarets in Europe while many non-Muslims in the Muslim world are denied basic and fundamental religious rights.

Sorry, but Islam is not like other religions, indeed it's not just a religion it's a total world domination system that seeks to spread horrible Sharia by force, killing or enslaving all who resist, and it will never change since their prophet set the model back in the 7th cent. and there's no way to get Muslim immigrants to put it in a display case or be talked into agreeing that its commands have a time limit. If you thought Hitler was bad, at least we killed him, but Islam's Hitler rules from the grave and can't be gotten to. Britain and other Euro countries have evidently become full of Islam history ignoramuses, else they'd never have allowed mass Muslim immigration, and the setting up of minarets, which isn't even done in all Muslim countries, is an arrogant symbol of supremacy that is an affront to all the values of Western civilization, period. Instead of wallowing in ignorance, why not take time out to study the key facts of Islam's rise, spread and mindset to get a clue about the danger of fundamentalist Muslim resurgence?
