The capital is officially the worst area in the UK for people failing to pay their television license according to figures issued by the TV licensing authority.
More than 16,300 were caught without a license in the last six months in London.
"Once again London was far and away the worst offender with more than 16,300 evaders caught. Glasgow and Birmingham came in second and third place with nearly 11,700 and more than 4,700 evaders caught respectively. Anyone caught watching TV without a licence risks prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000. "
