Haringey Independent A man from Edmonton charged with possession of terrorist propaganda
The 21-year-old man, Hakan Ertarkan, was charged today with possession of al-Qaeda information. The man has been under arrest since the April 12 of last year, accused of having a CD with articles of Inspire, al-Qaeda’s online magazine in English, and with useful information to prepare a terrorist act.
The arrested is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on the 1st of November.

Residents of Claypond Gardens, in Brentford, are shocked after a man fell from the fifth floor of a store building. The man, who was in his fifties, has been identified as Christopher Hajduck by the Hounslow Police, who were called to scene by a witness yesterday at 2.10 pm. Mr. Hajduck finally died while he was been brought to hospital. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

The protest against an eviction order to clear Britain’s largest illegal travellers’ site has finished with two Tasered activists and one arrested. Essex police said Tasers were used after officers were attacked with missiles, including rocks. The eviction operation took place yesterday morning at 7 am, after a 10-year legal battle. Around 300 officers broke down barricades at the camp, which had been built illegally on green belt land.

A group of ten women have posed in a charity calendar in memory of the brother-in-low of one of them, who died In March at the age of 48 from mesothelioma, a rare type of cancer. The benefits, which reach £ 1700 so far, will be donated to for charity Mesothelioma UK.

Nabila Nanfuka, student at Northampton University of 22 years old, died in the early hours of this morning after clubbers stampeded out to leave the Lava and Ignite nightclub in Northampton. Police are investigating the case which caused Nanfuka’s death. Two other women remain in a critical condition because of injuries caused due to the crush.
Uxbridge Gazette Unison plans the “biggest ever strike” against pension and social cuts.
The British’s largest trade union for public sector workers, UNISON, is meeting at Uxbridge Civic Centre on Thrusday. The aim is to prepare what they think that will be the “biggest strike” against the public sector cuts, NHS reforms and the pension plan change carried out by the Government.
Wally Kennedy, secretary of the group Hillingdon Against Cuts (HAC) said that it is expected “the borough to be shut down on November 30”.
Get Surrey UCA students pay tribute to a dead classmate.
Professors and students at the University for Creative Arts (UCA) in Farham held two-minute silence to honor of Kyle Hancock, a first year student who was found dead last Sunday at around 8.15 pm. The victim was 18 years old and was studying a three-year course in sport journalism. Police are investigating the circumstances of his death, enquiring information to classmates and staff.

A thrillseeker sky dives to collect money for St. Francis Hospice
Ashleigh Coules, 22, of Martins Corner, Dagenham participates in a sky dive to help financially St. Francis Hospice, which takes care of people from Barking and Dagenham. The amount of money collected is of £910 so far. After waiting 2 hours for a clear sky, the woman was flown 12,000 feet into the air. “When it was time to jump out of the plane, the rush of adrenaline took over and I forgot about being nervous. I’d definitely do it again if I ever had the chance.”, Ashleigh said.
