Don't listen to the rubbish from London's "established" media, the capital again has come to a standstill, buses are packed, mainline trains crammed to the rafters and the roads totally congested.

We are a laughing stock around the world, without any type of the leadership required to find a solution.  Listening to bulletins on the London radio stations you would think the tube network was running normally!  Try using the network today and see the chaos.

TfL issued the following salvo at RMT:

"The RMT leadership is being duplicitous when they say that there was an agreement on the table.  In fact, only a version that the RMT were proposing existed. LU made the very reasonable request that the RMT suspend strike action so that this could be worked through. However, the RMT leadership refused to continue or give the talks more time, and walked out.

“Londoners will be infuriated by their behaviour and will join us in calling for the RMT to suspend this strike immediately and return to negotiations."

There is no chance of peace on our transport system, no one is prepared to back and what is the ultimate cost?  London loses out again, when it emerges that President Sarkozy of France is pushing Paris to be Europe's leading financial capital.
