The killers of Islington born Ben Kinsella have been hander jail terms of 19 years each.
Juress Kika, 19, Jade Braithwaite, 18, and Michael Alleyne, 20, from London, were convicted of murder at the Old Bailey on Thursday after stabbing Ben in Islington, north London, on June 29 last year.
The Common Serjeant of London, Judge Brian Barker, told the defendants that they took part in a "brutal, cowardly and totally unjustified attack".
Their action that night "defies belief", he said. He added: "His family will never get over it but he will never be forgotten."
Family and friends of Ben Kinsella shouted aloud when the sentence was passed with chants of "bye bye" from the public gallery; when the three criminals were sent down to commence their life sentences.
Angry scenes were reported between the families of the defendants and Ben Kinsella’s according to the Press Association. photo credit: London Daily News
