Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was beaten and pushed down a flight of stairs at a London Overground train station.
Lithuanian, Rolandas Vosylius, 25, died moments after suffering serious head injuries at Leytonstone High Road on 20 July during rush hour.
The chief suspect has been named as 19-year-old Vygantas Ciapas, who police have warned should not be approached by members of the public. He is also known by an alias, Gintas Jankauskas, and has been in the UK since June where he has also worked as a labourer in the London area.
Detective Superintendent Ashley Croft said "We know that the victim and the suspect arrived at around 5.55pm on board a train that was travelling from Gospel Oak.” He appealed for anyone who was on the train or the station at the time to come forward.
The labourer from Lithuania had been in the UK for just three weeks.
Police believe that Mr Vosylius, who was living in the Leytonstone area, died after he was violently assaulted at the top of the station stairwell.
