NEWS DESK Eddie Nestor the BBC London presenter has provoked an attack on Brian Coleman London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden and the Conservative Chairman of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, from Lee Jasper the disgraced aide to former Mayor Ken Livingstone. In a review of the biggest stories in the week's newspapers Eddie Nestor invited Lee Jasper live on air, and responded to the issue of Brian Coleman’s expenses. The story of Coleman’s expenses has been highlighted in many of London's media, but Lee Jasper could not resist an attack by saying "we used Oyster cards when we were in office". BBC London has been criticised by the Conservative group at City Hall for alleged bias and asking loaded questions. Lee Jasper who only last week was exonerated by the forensic review headed by Patience Wheatcroft, criticised Jasper and Livingstone for "ineptitude rather than corruption". COMMENT: Maybe its time Lee and Ken found something new to talk about? Is knife crime not a better issue for leading black journalist's and politician's to analyse as opposed to expenses of a democratically elected politician who has won a new mandate to be at City Hall ie Brian Coleman.
