SPORTS DESK Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt set the 2008 Olympics on fire by storming ahead of the worlds best with “perfection” as put by Michael Johnson. Bolt has set a new world record in the final of the 100 metres sprint with a 9.6 seconds blistering run. Bolt unbelievably slowed down with 5 metre to go and still set a new world record, moreover the blue-ribbon event has lived up to the expectations of all officiandos of track events.
Jamaica now stands as a world super power in track events having three athletes in the final of the 100 metres and a handful of other athletes pushing for medals in the 200, 400 metre events. London's Jamaican community is now in full celebration mode with the diaspora community celebrating on the streets of the capital.
