Islamic groups riot with police in Harrow

7 people arrested outside of Harrow mosque

Scenes similar to those seen in the West Bank in Gaza have been playing out in the normally quiet roads of Harrow outside of the new mosque being built next to the Harrow town hall.

Anti-Islamic groups organised peaceful protests outside of the new "super-mosque" which has a minaret over 300ft high, only to be confronted by masked Muslims.

Police are believed to be controlling the situation with over 200 officers and riot police on the scene. Local residents in Harrow have been consistently against the creation of this mosque with Harrow council failing to consider local objections and allow the creation of this "super-mosque".
