Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a woman and a rape on another woman have renewed their appeal for information and witnesses, by releasing an e-fit image of one of the suspects.

On Sunday 22 May 2011, between 01:50 and 02:20 hours, two women were walking in Shoreditch Park. They entered the park from Pitfield Street by the Britannia Laisure Centre, when they were approached by two men who asked for directions to an off-licence. Both women were then attacked.

Both suspects left the scene in an unknown direction.

The e-fit relates to suspect two, who is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, approximately 22 years, slim build, dark eyes, tanned complexion with black spiky straight hair. He was wearing black shoes, dark jeans and a dark jacket with a white picture on one side.

Suspect one is described as Mediterranean in appearance, aged approximately in his late 20's, 6 feet tall, heavy build with short cropped hair. He was wearing light jeans and white training shoes.

Officers from the Sapphire Unit at Hackney are investigating.
