Cops are hunting this man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train.

The 24-year-old victim fell asleep on a late-night train from London to Hertfordshire - waking up to find a man molesting her.

The well dressed man was caught on CCTV at St. Pancras station.

Detective Constable Tony Gittins, investigating officer from British Transport Police, said they had carried out a number of enquiries and were hopeful that members of the public might be able to assist in identifying the suspect.

He urged anyone who thinks they might recognise the man to contact them.

Woke her up

The woman was travelling home around 03:20am on 21 November 2024 on board a train from St. Pancras to St. Albans.

After she fell asleep she was woken up by a man sitting on a seat opposite her. The man removed the woman’s socks, sexually assaulted her and then left the train at Mill Hill Broadway.

Description

The man is described as being of Asian appearance, approximately 35 to 45 years of age, slim build, approximately 5ft 10in tall with receding black hair.

He was wearing a dark overcoat with possibly a purple shirt and tie beneath with dark trousers and shoes.

"The victim was not injured in any way, but was obviously very distressed by what happened." DC Gittins added.

Anyone with information should contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 and quote incident number 41 of 21/11/08.
