Cops are hunting a beer bellied sex attacker believed to be behind two sexual assaults on the Grand Union Canal.

The suspect walked past the victim then turned back asking her to hold his dog's lead then pounced, forcing her to engage in sexual activity.

The victim then ran off from the suspect along the towpath towards the Grand Union public house.

First case connection

Police are connecting yesterdays assault with another on 9 September 2008.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was walking along the towpath near Prince Albert Road, past Camden Market and close to the Avery.

She was approached by a suspect who forced her to engage in sexual activity with him.

Beer belly

The suspect is described as a white male, aged approximately 50, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, of large build with a 'beer belly'.

He was wearing a grey or navy blue tracksuit.

Description

The suspect is described as a white male, aged approximately 40, approximately 6ft 3ins tall, of medium build with a large red birthmark on one side of his neck.

He was wearing a black woolly hat, black tracksuit bottoms and a three quarter length black tracksuit jacket and dirty white Reebok trainers.

He spoke with a London accent.

The suspect referred to his dog, which may have had white feet, as 'Monkey'.

Cyclist Witnesses
