Housing slump hits regeneration in Greenwich

The National Audit Office has disclosed that property developers under the agreement made with the government, are allowed to take nearly 200 years to regenerate the land around the Dome without any financial penalties.

 

The Guardian which published the article has outlined that Lord Falconer approved the deal with a consortium of private companies Meridian Delta and the quango English Partnerships, in a deal that should have seen redevelopment of the 170 acre site by 2016.
