Our triumphant Olympic team arrives in London on a specially chartered plane shortly, with the record breaking British Olympic team aboard, who managed to finish fourth place, with a total of 47 medals including 19 gold medals. However celebrations have been dampened with BAA, the police and the British Olympic Committee calling on members of the public to stay away from Heathrow airport in case of safety problems.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson will be holding a winners parade in October a good two months in cold London, a move which has angered many Londoner's who have demanded a winners event soon.

"I don't understand, why are we meant to wait until October to celebrate the teams victory. All we want is to see the athletes with their medals in London so that we can start feeling the Olympic spirit" John Ashbourne a Londoner speaking to the London Daily News.

Other groups have also felt let down by the handling of the handover and the arrival of our chapions saying that the events have been too small and have not be inclusive.

Hundred of ticket holders from the handover party on The Mall where left out of the event due to security officers closing barriers in front of Buckingham Palace citing over crowding.

Mark Rutterson who was at the event contacted the London Daily News and said "I am really upset I brought my family and had tickets only to be told I could not get in, how are we going to deal with the 2012 games when this event was for 40,000 people?"

The Times also reported that some of the large screens at The Mall were not working but staff from the London Daily News reported that "London has now woken up to the scale of the games and its now countdown to 2012."
