Police are quizing a man in his twenties after a man was shot dead inside a London Bridge night club at the weekend.

Errol Davis, 24, was out with friends under the arches of London Bridge Station at the SEOne club in Weston Street Tunnel, when a gunman blasted him point blank in the head.

Operation Trident

Operation Trident, the Mets specialist black on black gun crime unit swung into action after the shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Detectives are keeping an open mind over the killing but are frustrated at the lack of witnesses coming forward despite the 3,000 capacity venue being packed with revelers.

DCI Adnan Qureshi, who is heading the investigation, said:

"We know that the club was still busy at the time of the murder and there will have been a number of witnesses to the murder and events that have preceded it."
