Travel Desk - 10:20am GMT

BAA have closed Heathrow and Stansted today dashing any hopes that flights to London airports would resume.  In a statement prepared earlier BAA said:

"Based on advice from NATS, all flights to and from Heathrow remain suspended until further notice.

We continue to strongly advise passengers that they must check the status of their flight with airlines before travelling to airports, and thank passengers for their continued patience during these difficult times."
