An airport security guard at Heathrow is suing The Sun newspaper for its 'scanner ogling' story. Jonathan Laker is demanding £150,000 compensation over the story headlined: "I Love Those Gigantic T**ts: Airport guard’s quip at girl in scanner" and "Scanner Glamour Ding-Dong! Cops quiz airport XC-ray man who ogled colleague’s boobs". He is pursuing publishers News Group Newspapers for libel and is also seeking an injunction banning repetition of the claims. The story sparked a media storm over the new x-ray style scanners, brought in to beef up security and thwart terrorists. Civil liberties groups used the alleged incident to argue against the devices as a breach of human rights and invasion of personal privacy.
