Yes posters have been going up at security check points throughout the City of London, Police within the square mile will be wearing head cameras.

Will the move to videoing suspected criminals and arrests improve conviction rates or is this a further step towards a big brother Judge Dredd society? Only time will tell.

Positive move

Personally I think this is a positive move by the City Corporation which should reduce complaints against Police Officers and provide the Crown Prosecution Service with very useful video evidence which could be used in a court of law.

Maybe the days of the Police notebook are numbered? Who knows but let's hope this initiative reduces crime and increases conviction rates.
