Londoners are venting their anger towards City Hall, and the Mayors inability to resolve the dispute on the Underground, on another day of strikes which has effectively shut down the entire tube network, costing the London an economy £40 million.

"I want Boris Johnson to get his finger out find a workable deal with the unions and stop this madness that is costing me and my family money each time I cannot get into work", Samuel Rosenberg from Cockfosters speaking to a London Daily News correspondent.

"I voted for Boris because I was sick and tired of Ken Livingstone’s cronies, but under Ken we never had these type of disruptions", Mark Rees from Chalk Farm.

The RMT and the TSSA trade unions have been locked in talks with Transport for London to try and reach a negotiated settlement, with no real progress, is it not time the Prime Minister intervened and demands an agreement from the unions?

Roads going into central London are congested more than normal today, people are using over ground trains to get into the office.  But why have we got to the point were we are now "noramalising" our attitudes that strikes are part of the DNA of living and working in London.  The laws must be reviewed and the government must now start telling the trade unions that the damage the strikes are having on the economy of London is immense.
