NEWS DESK The Police scored a decisive victory against the drug barons of north London with the successful conviction of leading Greek-Cypriots who were believed to have controlled a significant portion of the cocaine and cannabis distribution on the streets of London. Sotiris Christos Andreas was found to be in possession of cocaine when his car was stopped at Dover last September. Fourteen kilos of high grade cocaine were captured with a potential value of £800,000. His accomplice Pavlos Petrou Andronicou was also found guilty. Andreas a fifty year old was given 14 years at Belmarsh, and Andronicou a sixty one year old was given a nineteen year sentence. Greek-Cypriot drug barons are thought to be the target of a concerted campaign by the Metropolitan Police who are working with their Cypriot counter-parts to infiltrate and convict these criminals. photo credit: legaldruginfo.wordpress.com
